Anni Paananen

Born in 1972, Esse, Finland, Anni Paananen has both feet firmly attached to the Ostrobothnian soil which still allows her thoughts and dreams to fly wherever they want to. Anni studied music for three years in the early ninties, but then decided to become a pastor of congregation instead. Music as a form of art can however be very persuasive and as a result of instinct and need to deliver this singer/songwriter is now back on track performing and composing. "When it comes to music, opera or death metal might not really be my thing" she says, "but everything else certainly is!" After publishing the song "Where grace is" on her blog Lady of the Lake she got the most heartfelt welcome and recognition by blogvisitors both from Finland and from abroad. As a result Svenska Kulturfonden decided to finance the recording of an album containing more of her own compostitions. The album is to be released late autumn 2009.
